What We Believe
Michelsen Strategies is about doing the work that needs to be done to bring about a better world. I specialize in building lasting infrastructure- organizations and coalitions that can keep the progressive movement moving forward year after year, as candidates, elections, and campaigns come and go. I believe that the utility of electoral politics for social change is not in getting any one individual into office, but in building structures of collective leadership that can use elections as a tool. To achieve progressive change, we must strive to elect leaders who are grounded in social movements and accountable to their communities.
